Meego Conference 2010, Dublin Ireland - November 2010 Nº of pax: 1000 The inaugural MeeGo Conference was hosted in Dublin this November. venuesireland.com™ was appointed to manage the entire event from the intial venue-finding phase through full service conference & destination management. The shiny new Aviva Stadium, formerly Lansdowne Rugby Grounds, proved the ideal venue, with a perfect mix of plenary and breakout spaces for the jam-packed meeting schedule. The conference, a collaboration between Intel, Nokia and the Linux Foundation, had signifcant technical and IT requirements which the AVIVA fulfilled easily. All 1000 delegates were accommodated in the adjacent D4 hotels and the early-birds enjoyed morning jogging tours of this leafy South Dublin suburb and its parks. Late-night revellers were well catered for with a selection of impressive social events including the Guinness Storehouse evening with a U2 tribute band, and a gala night hosted in the AVIVA. A first for many, premium seats at an International Soccer match. Ireland V Norway provided fantastic entertainment and a superb opportunity for the event sponsors, with pitch-side advertising and international television exposure. venuesireland.com™, part of venuesworld.com™, managed the event in its entirety and were thrilled to be invited to do so again, next May, for the MeeGo 2011 Spring Conference in San Francisco, USA.
